Technology Training with Matt Holley

About

Matt Holley serves as the Director of Emerging Technologies for Lubbock-Cooper ISD, where he helps shape how technology transforms teaching and learning. An educator, author, presenter, and lifelong technology enthusiast, Matt is passionate about exploring emerging tools, challenging traditional thinking, and creating opportunities for meaningful innovation in education.

Matt is the author of This Might Flop, a book that encourages educators to embrace creativity, take calculated risks, and recognize that meaningful progress often begins with a willingness to try something new.

His professional journey includes attending the Apple Academy in Cupertino and earning recognition as an Apple Learning Specialist and Apple Certified Learning Coach. He also holds certifications as an Apple Teacher, Google Certified Educator, MagicSchool Pioneer and Ambassador, and Brisk AI Level 2 Professional.

In 2018, Matt founded Confluence, a nationally recognized pedagogy and technology conference that brings educators together to share ideas, collaborate, and inspire change (learn.lcisd.net). He has presented at conferences across the country, including ISTE, TCEA, TAEA, FETC, LearnFest (formerly iPadpalooza), FRSLN, Fast Growth Texas, Fort Worth Technology Conference, RTM, and TETL.

With a Master’s in Technology and Learning, Matt believes in building forward-thinking cultures where curiosity is encouraged, innovation is celebrated, and taking a chance on something new is part of the learning process.

Outside of education, you'll likely find him saltwater fly fishing, geeking out over Star Wars, experimenting with the latest gadgets, or finding another piece of technology he probably doesn't need but absolutely wants to try.
